At AMG we have been providing quality tuition services in Central for over thirty years.
Our team of highly qualified and experienced tutors is dedicated to helping students achieve their best results.
Our History
AMG was established in August 1992 by Tim and Julie Gower to help Hong Kong students bridge the gap between the HK schools’ curriculum and that of the UK Independent Schools system.
AMG is the longest-running dedicated tuition centre in HK.
The company has grown and moved through the years and is now located on Queen’s Road in the heart of Central. Despite the growth we still pride ourselves on our personal touch.
We exist to provide one-to-one and small group tuition both for local and international school students.
Among the services we offer are:

Preparation and invigilation for entrance to overseas schools

Preparation for locally sat international examinations (e.g. IGCSE, A Levels and IB Diploma)

Help with preparation for the HKDSE, and for tests set by the UK and the US systems (e.g. SSAT, IELTS, UKiset, ISEB Common Pre-test, ISEE and many others.
Alex's Parents
Our son, Alex, has been learning at AMG since he was eight. We are very pleased with his learning progress at AMG. He is now studying with Teacher Henry on English Literature at AMG.
Teacher Henry is a very experienced & patient English/ English Literature teacher. He is very client focus & understands the needs of each student very well. He understands the weaknesses of each student & is able to turnaround by guiding them rightaway.

I would like to thank Jeff, John, Steve, and Peter for helping me prepare for my Eton CE exam. I did very well, getting an A in 8 out of 9 subjects. Not only that, but they have also helped me gain a better understanding of my school curriculum, and build a foundation for my Eton school life. I started AMG around 8, and I studied Latin with Liz and English (specifically Communication) with Amy. I BELIEVE LESSONS WITH FRANCIS ARE ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CHOICE
Personally, I appreciated the teaching of Francis, as he provided a variety of resources, which were related to what I needed to enhance my Geography knowledge and exam skills.
As a tutor, Francis is patient, passionate and warm. He explained the content in detail and taught all he knew in Geography, and encouraged me during my study.
After having lessons with Francis, I feel that he is a nice, gentle person with a little humour sometimes. Rather than a tutor, most of the time I find Francis as a nice fellow.
